When the replacement arrived, I put it back in the same place it had been before - between the AVR and the TV. When I noticed that, I immediately bought replacement cables for every device, making sure to pick the shortest possible cables. One thing I was asked to try was to change the location of my sync box so that it wasn't directly connected to my television. Hue App (for Mac) crashes after a few seconds turning on the Video Sync. Replacing the HDMI cables and keeping them short did extend the watchable time from five minutes to about an hour, but the problem always recurred. I replaced all my HDMI cables, sent the box to them for analysis, got a new box from them, and experimented with every setting, all to no avail. Since then I've been working with Signify support to figure out why. I received my Hue Sync Box on Christmas and ran into the problem within five minutes: while watching TV (whether sync was enabled or not), the picture would turn to static after as little as five minutes. ![]()
